SmartPLS 3's installation problem with MAC OS X Yosemite

Hello,
the above mentioned version of Apple OS X (Version 10.10.2) is running on my Mac. Unfortunately I was not able to start SmartPLS 3 after installation.
This following message was shown instead:

"An error has occurred.
See the log file ..../.smartpls3/osgi/configuration/1422787718765.log"

Is there a way to solve it?

Did you already try to install the Java runtime that is provided for direct download on http://www.smartpls.com/downloads ?

It is not easy to replace the default Java runtime on Mac OSX. One trick is to install a JDK instead of a JRE. Therefore we provide a JDK for download.

I finally got the JAVA to replace. Afterwards, SmartPLS installed n the first try!

I edited your message above as we will not accept polemic posts.

To your question: The solution is already stated above. Install the Java version we supply for download on our website and in 99% of all cases SmartPLS will run on your MacOSX. Replacing the default Java runtime is a common problem on MacOSX. Don´t blame SmartPLS. Blame Apple or Oracle. If you are an experienced Mac OSX user and able to do command line stuff, there are other options but we think most of our users don´t want to dive this deep. Thats why we recommend installing the JDK.

Just installed the Yosemite Update 10.10.3.

Software starts perfectly but after running the analyes I can not selected the different categories.
So I only can access the "path coefficients" within the software. Anybody else with this problem?

Can you please post a screenshot of the report window and indicate more in detail what you mean by "categories".

What I mean is that I can not switch within the results.
Ager running the algo. the results for path coefficients appear.
When I want to change for example to "outer loadings" simply nothing happens.
