PLS-SEM in Social- & Political Psychology peer review journa

Hello everybody,

I am planning to use SmartPLS 3 for my Pathmodel. However, I am not sure if SmartPLS is the right choise, due to the following questions:

1- Number of Total Variables?
I want to work with two/three predictor latent variables, 3 mediating variables, and 3/4 predicted latent variables. So far, I only found articles with only two endegenous variables.
Is SmartPLS 3 suited for this kind of modelling?

2- PLS use in Social Psychology?
I could not find any Article in Social- or Political Pschology, that works with PLS-SEM. CB-SEM like Amos and MPlus seem the standard. Does anyone have articles in my area, that work with PLS? Or experience with Peer-Review Journals acceptancy of PLS based analyses?

3- One of my predictor latent variables (4 Items) has two Item-Loading below .07 (appr. .05). Is there any way two work with this loadings?

Hi,

1. Yes, PLS suitable for complex models.

2. Yes, I think PLS possible for social and political psychology.

3. No, if loading < 0.6, this is make AVE < 0.5

I have the same problem. I have some items less than 0.7.
Is there any literature supporting the items less than 0.7 (e.g., 0.6 and 0.5)?

Hi,

Loading factor can be < 0.6 (no more than two indicators) if other indicators within the construct has a loading factor > 0.8.
