Hi, please help I am trying to upgrade to SmartPLS 3. I have used version 2 quite a lot.

I am on windows 8.1, I have installed latest Java from Oracle (1.80_25) and installed Smart PLS 3. When I try to launch, I get the error in the attached image. Essentially, it looks like it is not able to launch eclipse.

I ended up digging around and found a post that I possibly had the wrong Java version (32 bit not 64). I uninstalled Java, re installed and made sure I had right version. Rebooted and all was good.

Excellent! We need to provide a note of caution at a more prominent place since using 32 bit Java JRE instead of 64 bit Java JRE and vice versa happen (even to me...).
