3rd order construct

Post by fatb82 »

Hello there. I am building a measure for a third order construct. The construct has 5 dimensions and two of its dimensions have 2 subdimensions. So basically, I have five dimensions but 7 latent variables. How do I go about analyzing this model with Smart PLS. I also have 3 items to measure a construct that measure the same thing as my third order construct. I included these 3 items in my survey in order to be able to assess the quality of my proposed measure for the 3rd order construct. Can you please tell me what is the procedure for dealing with my 3rd order construct. I read a few things about using repeated indicators or latent variable scores but i am still unsure about how to proceed. Thank you in advance.

Hello,

the analytical approach is hierarchically analysed by following the approach featured in my thesis and PLS Handbook book chapter on higher order constructs.

See the full text on researchgate.

best of luck
