what is the difference between the SPSS and SmartPLS?

Dear all,
I am completely novice in statistics .I would be grateful if you could tell me what is the difference between the SPSS analysis of reliability and validity and the SmartPLS analysis of reliability and validity? Before I use the SmartPLS to analyse the model, should I analyze the reliability and validity of the questionnaire by SPSS ?

Hi,

SPSS is useful for data screening, descriptive statistics, plots etc.

SmartPLS could be used to assess the validity (convergent and discriminant) and the reliability. You could do this directly in SmartPLS.

Why used SPSS beside SmartPLS have output validity and reliability?
In SPSS you cannot find AVE, Composite Reliability and Weight (must compute manually).
I not recommend for used combine two software: SPSS for measurement model and SmartPLS for structural model.
