Third Order Construct

Post by Mrs Tourky »

Hi all,

My Model involves two high order constructs:

The Independent is a Reflective 3rd-Order construct and the dependent is a formative 2nd-order construct.

I would like to run algorithm to check the validity and reliability.

My question is: shall I run the whole model with the independent and dependent constructs , OR run two algorithm one for the independent and another for the dependent?

Please note, I have done Factor Analysis using SPSS, also I have run the algorithm once for the whole model and another time - each construct separately. I found slight differences between the cases. I want to make sure that the steps followed are correct.

Also: How to write this in PhD theses?

Thanks

Hi Mrs Tourky,

It is advisable to run the complete model instead of two algorithms. In this case all relevant relations you anticipate are weighed. In your thesis you may report that you tested the complete model so that all relations are weighed.

Good luck,
