how to measure a moderation?

Post by DannyO »

Hello everybody,

I am totally new to this program. I got to do my master thesis with SmartPLS.
My model contains one independet variable and three dependent variables and one moderator.
Is SmartPLS able to measure this model?
The variables are latent constructs.
Can anyone help me? I really want to get into this!

Thank you in advance!

Sure. There are different options to model the latent moderation in SmartPLS 3. You find them using the "Add Moderation Effect" button.

The latest article to read and also a good introduction is:
Becker, J-M., Ringle, C.M. & Sarstedt, M. (2018), Estimating Moderating Effects in PLS-SEM and PLSc-SEM: Interaction Term Generation*Data Treatment. Journal of Applied Structural Equation Modeling. 2(2), 1-21.

However, if you are new to the method in general, I would recommend the book on PLS: https://www.smartpls.com/documentation/ ... s-sem-book
