Formative variables

Post by luke888 »

Hello !

I actual work with SmartPLS for my diploma and have a question.

I have a variable with formative indicators. But the variable is more a sum of the indicators. It is possible to treat the variable also like an indicator(summing up the single indicators) which is then connected to other real latent variables??

Thanks for Your attention.

Hi Lukas,
Yes, You can.

For more information about this procedure, look for “item parcels”, for instance:
