QUestion re Moderators

Post by cmtaddeo »

Hello, firstly I wish to thank you for providing the PLS software for free use, I am currently a PhD candidate and a junior user, and have recently been introduced to SmartPLS. I have been refining my models and am currently exploring the moderating effects of some LVs, however my question is with regard to the AVE of a latent variable which, when treated as a moderator even though it accounts for a reasonable amount of variance and has an adequate alpha (0.85), the AVE drops from 0.54 to 0.14, I am not sure why this would be the case, any insights would be appreciated.

you could report the AVE and CR from a single construct analysis.. that would be fair enough.

And... I would not report AVE and CR for the interaction terms as they are artificial constructions made by the researcher
