Hi Chris,

I have acquired a new laptop computer with new Windows 8 installed. When I downloaded the Smart PLS2.0. It has error display says that "unable to assess jarfile startup.jar". I am not sure how I could sort out this issue. Please advise.

This is a Java issue. SmartPLS 2 requires Java 1.6. But it maybe that windows 8.1 does not support this outdated and unsecure java version anymore.
