Hi Bido, If I follow the paper of Henseler, Ringle and Sinkovics (2009) in assessing the convergent validity and discriminant validity, the number of items per construct reduced from 10 to 2. Do you have other references regarding the rule of thumb of convergent validity and discriminant validity st...

Moderation + Mediation in One Model with n=53
My model consists of one Independent LV, one dependent LV, two latent mediators, and two moderating dichotomous variables. My sample size is 53. Is there no problem if I will use only one model for all these variables?

Endogenous Latent Variable with Dichotomous Items
Can I use SMARTPLS for an endogenous latent variable with dichotomous items/indicators? The items are coded 1 for correct and 0 for wrong answers.
Thanks a lot.

Minimum number of Items per Latent Variable
Hi everyone, I have three contructs (each with 8 items that used a 5-point Likert options) with reflective indicators. Two of the constructs serve as the independent variable and dependent variable, while the other is the mediator variable. First, I assessed the convergent validity of each construct...

T Statistics for Indirect Effect
Dear SmartPLS Experts,
May I know why the Bootstrap report of SMARTPLS does not include the T-Statistics for INDIRECT/Mediation EFFECT?
Thank you.

Dear Hengky, NO. I think the report contains only the direct effect and total effect. because both direct and total effects are available, we can easily compute the indirect effect using the formula: Indirect effect = Total effect - direct effect. Now I am looking for the T Statistic for the indirec...

Hi Bido, Thank you for your reply. Two follow-up questions: 1) what is the difference between outer loading and outer weight? 2) Considering the three constructs that I described, I also tried to test a mediation model. I cant see the indirect effect or the mediation effect in the default report. Wh...

Observe Predictor in SMARTPLS
Dear SMARTPLS Users,
A have a model with two exogenous and one endogenous constructs. I want to include age variable in the model, where age is an observed variable. I don't know how to include observed variable in SmartPLS. Any advise please?
