Discriminant validity is measured by comparing the square root average variance extracted with the inter factor correlations among factors. The sqr AVE of each factor should be larger than any of its correlations with the other factors (Fornell & Larcker, 1981).

Hi Anastasios, Your first problem: In your model (figure) items are included for dimensions X and Y and for variables V3 through V6. Independent variable V2 and dependent variable V1 are not measured separately by items. SEM would require your model to include items construing independent variable V...

Hi Amanda, I interpret your model to be as follows: Advertising -> Awareness Advertising -> Knowledge Awareness -> Knowledge Knowledge -> Usage As a result awareness would be mediating the relationship Advertising -> Knowledge. Hi seusxl,
Based on your brief question, I interpret that Java is not intstalled on your machine. You'll need to install Java (version 6) and you may find it here: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/ ... index.html
Look for “Java SE 6 Update 29”
Good luck,
Dennis

Hi Lama, Checking for mediation in SmartPLS is more straightforward than in SPSS and SAS. How to do it: (1) Create all relationships between independent variables (IV) and dependent variables (DV) according to your model (2) Create the mediating variables (MV) (3) Create the mediating relationships ...

For a GoF with a threshold of ,50 check page 46 of:
