No clear reply yet. is it by repeating the 1st order item on the second order lv or by LV score of the 1st order LVs to be used for the second order Lv. or both would give similar result so either can be used. reg 1st approach see the following link http://forum.smartpls.com/viewtopic.php?t=1250&...

see this http://forum.smartpls.com/viewtopic.php?t=1255&highlight=value . f2 is also called effect size. the original formula is f2 is : (R2included - R2 excluded)/(1 - R2 included) but when all are independent variables (ie there is no indirect effect) the formula becomes - f2 = R2 / (1 - R2) w...

In PLS the measurement items of a second order or superordinate construct are basically the measurement items of its first order constructs. For example, if S1 is your second order construct with F1 and F2 its first order constructs which have its reflective indicators say a1--a5 and b1--b5. Theref...

what is the reason behind? is it because PLS allows the researcher to use different level of significance for each variables?
I think you are right. Another additional requirement is 2 and 1 tailed test.

Regarding use of SEM and PLS together

I have seen a paper where researcher have used SEM (LISREL) for CFA and PLS for testing the structural model (Teo, Wei & Benbasat (2003), MIS Quarterly, 27(1), 19-49. My question is that the right approach. If yes, could any one direct me to other references on such approach.
Thanks.

Dear Prof Bido, thanks for the reply. But I have a problem i want to use type of Government as one of the exogenous variable in the model (like size of farm, farm type). As samples under some groups are small i can't divide them for analysis either. Help would be highly appreciated.

adoption of technology in public sector

Dear friend I am trying to find out adoption of technology in government. most of the constructs (complexity, relative advantage, management support etc) would be measured in 7 point likert scale(1 strongly disagree, 7 strongly agree). We have one more construct type of government, which we think ma...
