Dear Sir I read the paper of wetzels, Some of the doubts are - 1) should only check for first order or we should also check for second order also?? 2) If my first order LV is having AVE above 0.5 , composite reliability above 0.7 but cronbach alpha is less than 0.6 (say 0.5) (also checked in spss an...

Multi-dimensional construct

Dear Sir

Can we model Multi-dimensional construct in smartPLS. Now if we can model it then do we need to check for cronbach alpha and other reliability and validity measures for each dimension or we need to check only for a construct.

Thanks

Dear Sir Thanks for clarifying my doubt It means , That do study the direct effect of gender variable (coded a s0-male and 1 for female) , I can use it as a single variable with single Item and connect to my dependent variables in smartPLS. then no need to do group comparison (as my samples in group...

Dear Sir I am really thankful to you for clearing my so many doubts. It is really helping me in my modelling. In the quotes mentioned , I am confused for the third(c) criterion. (a) variations in levels of the independent variable significantly account for variations in the presumed mediator (i.e., ...

Hi From reading all the post, what i understood is like below Here I will represent two models-MODEL 1( without mediating variable) and MODEL 2(with Mediating Variable) Model 1 X---> Y this path was insignificant. Even in model 1 if the path is insignificant between X and Y , I can have indirect eff...

Interaction effect

Thats true
I can do like this as well. But in case i dont capture it as continous and capture in ranges/categories, then how to go for this.

Please clarify me

Interaction effect

Thanks a lot Christian It is helping me to clear my doubt. But still some doubts when i captured EXP variable it was in continuous form (people entered 2.5 yrs, 3 years, 4 years and so on) and then i coded them into categories If i m not wrong ,A variable can be treated as ordinal when its values rep...

interaction effect

Hi Christian I read all the your replies posted for interaction effect. In my model i want to see the effect of my moderator variable (experience) on the relationship of my IV(reflective LV) and dependent variable (reflective). The variable EXP(experience) was captured for 148 cases and i had catego...

Thanks It means i should not compare with factor analysis in spss (using varimax rotation and Principal component) with factor analysis is PLS. After checking for cronbach alpha of my constructs , I should make my model (connecting all LV) and run PLS with factor loading weighting scheme . After che...

moderator variable path diagram question

Hi I have some doubt in moderator variable analysis. I have 4 independent variables(construct) V1 ,V2, V3, V4 all reflective and one dependent variable D I modelled in PLS like V1--->D V2--->D V3--->D V4--->D V2--->V1 V3---->V1 Here V1 is having a direct effect as well as acting as a mediator for va...
