Mediated moderation
Hi everyone, Chin et al. (2003, p. 211) proposed that “In formulating and testing for interaction effects using PLS, one needs to follow a hierarchical process similar to that used in multiple regression in which one compares the results of two models (i.e., one with and one without the interaction ...

Interpretation results
Hi everyone,
One of the hypotheses in my research says that: Z has a negative moderating effect on the relationship between X and Y. and the results show ,the opposite, that: Z has a positive moderating effect on the X-Y relationship.
How can I interpret this result?
Greetings

Re: Mediation
I think, in this situation, you should only focus on indirect effect (a*b) if it is significant or not, because you are not interested by direct effect.

Re: Moderating effect using PLS-MGA
Ok, thak you Professor Cringle, but I think that the last time you said to me that: how can make a multi-group analyses with model includes continuous moderating variables!! You mentioned that here http://forum.smartpls.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3742 ...................Post by cringle » Tue Jun 0...

Indirect effect
Hi everyone,
Please how can I test the following hypothesis
X has an indirect positive influence on Y through Z
And what is the defference between the procedures of Preacher and Hayes (2004) and Hayes (2013) to test mediating effect

Moderating effect using PLS-MGA
Hi everyone, Please I need your help My model includs X as an independent varable, and Y as a dependent variabl, while CI ; VS and RP are continuous moderating variables. And I want to add a categorical moderating variable, i.e Gendre (Female and male). (PLS-MGA) Is this way correct to assess modera...

Re: Interaction effects using PLS
Hi,
Thank you for your response
I see that Hayes used in his book SPSS software to measure mediating and moderation effects, Does his process work with SmartPLS too?
What is special in Hayes' book to make it better than the above papers.
Greetings

Exactly, I took a look on this paper, it is really important, and it'll help a lot in my report. Thank you Jan-Michael Becker, Untill now I have got three important papers: Preacher, Kristopher J. and Andrew F. Hayes (2004), “SPSS and SAS Procedures for Estimating Indirect Effects in Simple Mediatio...

Re: Interaction effects using PLS
Thank you Dr. Jan-Michael Becker for the clarification That's exactly what I need to understand. I am testing both a mediation and a moderation. Now it is clear for the moderation. You said Jan-Michael Becker that "Instead one should follow an assessment of the indirect effects using bootstrapp...

After identifying the grouping variable, now go to your model, calculate function --> multi group analysis (MGA) --> Group A (select gender_1) and Group B (sel...
