Re: NFI (Non-Fuzzy Index)
Thank you for pointing me to the right paper and your advice! I wonder if there is a sensible way to provide this info via the help button next to the "Copy to clipboard" button which points to the respective papers. In case of the NFI google only provided me with the LISREL NFI which is a...

FIMIX and PLS-POS in combination
I am working on a segmentation right now and according to Ringle, C.M., Sarstedt, M., Schlittgen, R., 2010. Finite Mixture and Genetic Algorithm Segmentation in Partial Least Squares Path Modeling: Identification of Multiple Segments in a Complex Path Model, in: Fink, A., Lausen, B., Seidel, W., Ult...

NFI (Non-Fuzzy Index)
Hi smartPLS-Team,
in FIMIX you introduced the NFI (Non-Fuzzy Index). Can you explain how it is interpreted? I assume it has to do with how well cases are assigned to ONE segment?
The same question applies to the NEC (Normalized Entropy Criterion).
Thanks for your help!

Deviation between LnL-fit indices value and LnL-development
Dear smartPLS-Team, I just realized that the LnL-value in FIMIX differs between what is shown in the LnL-dev. Report and the fit indices report. Can you explain the reason fort hat? Also I wonder how you would prove that a data source is sufficiently homogeneous. If I calculate a one segment solutio...

FIMIX algorithm not converging
In my data set is sometimes happens that regardless of how large I set the maximum iterations (I stopped when 150000 was not sufficient), the maximum iterations is reached. When I ran the algorithm ten times, only one time I ended up with a hit on that maximum but this run was the run with the best ...

standardized root mean square residual
Hi there, maybe i stared into my laptop for too long already today, but I cannot get my head around these two descriptions: https://www.smartpls.com/documentation/goodness-of-fit https://www.smartpls.com/documentation/srmr (the first sentence is missing a word behind the "(SRMR) [is] based...&q...

When running FIMIX show if maximium iterations was hit
I don't know if this is necessary from a calculation point of view but I just had the case that the best out of 10 FIMIX runs showed that it aborted the calculation because it reached maximum iterations. As I understand this case I could have gotten a better result if the max. iterations number was ...

Allow export as .xlsb
Excel 2010 still has it's binary format (which is a lot faster to work with but has no compatibility with Open Office or Libre Office). If the export API offers this format as alternative I'd like to directly export to that format as it is much faster do work with.

Re: Constraint PLS-POS / FIMIX Results to values >=0
I just went through your recent papers and did not find anything on negative path coefficients. Did you refer to your professional studies? If this is also something you dealt with and reported in a published study I'd appreciate the study's title,
Merci beaucoup!

Re: Constraint PLS-POS / FIMIX Results to values >=0
i will have a deeper look into your publication list then (not that I haven't read quite a bit yet...)
for my PhD I am still trying to keep my hands clean of too crazy math stuff - so if I post a suggestion here you know that I failed in the prior matter ;)

Constraint PLS-POS / FIMIX Results to values >=0
Hahn et al. 2002 write "Our initial disaggregate solutions contained some small, negative coefficients for the drivers. With the assumption of independence, an interpretation would be difficult. For example, a negative impact of service to satisfaction would mean that higher quality service low...
