it is theoretically possible and is called MODE C by Chin
it is rarely ever implemented this way

Re: Purpose of latent variable scores other than colinearity
This is one way of using them... also could be standardised and plots constructed.zfayena wrote:Hi,
I am using the scores for creating a second order construct. See the two steps approach for high order constructs.
Read my Research gate contribution and thesis work. PLS handbook chapter online

Hi
conceptually... always look at the mini conceptual tests of Jarvis, McKenzie (2003).
I have reflective, reflective specifications explained in PLS handbook. See researchgate

Agreed. CR, Alpha and AVE are a nonsense for formative constructs.

Re: Moderation effect - the orthogonalizing approach
hi,
this is the superior approach and almost nobody does it.
you need to alter the data before using with PLS. A simple test of orthogonalisation is to run correlations with the constructs of interest and if the are very low score.. that you could state they are close to orthogonalised.

Re: PLS-MGA: How to dichotomize/split latent variable
Why would you want to do this in the first instance.
you should keep it as a continuous variable and not lose the power in trying to detect the effect
see PLS Handbook chapter Wilson. on researchgate

hello
you should see my contribution on this in PLS Handbook.
The chapter is on Researchgate
You should keep your analyses at the same level of abstraction if possible too.
