Thanks a lot Bido! This is very helpful! One last question: Do you know whether this CMB-approach is only feasible for pure reflective measurement models or is there a possibility to compute formativ and 'mixed' models (in a way that some constructs are measured reflective and some formative) as wel...

Re: Second order construct Type II-different methods & f
Hi, I want to use a second order LV, Type II (3 reflective first order constructs and a formatively measured second order construct) as a moderator variable in my model. Based on a literature review and information in this forum I identified at least two different methods to measure a Type II secon...

Re: Comparing competing models
Hi I have two competing models in Smart PLS. One with percieved risk predicting trust ( B=-.73,t=8.96,p<.01) and the other vice versa B=.75, t=10.82) Both paths are significant at 1%, and are of the same magnitude. Is there a means by which I can accept one model over the other? Chaning the path mo...

Re: Moderating effect betwen reflective and formative LVs
Dear Community, the issue of a mixed moderator model was already discussed a couple of times in this forum, but it seems like nobody has found a bullet-proof solution yet. For the case that both, the reflective and formative variable have two or more indicators, up to now two approaches have been r...

Hi Sten, I am not a PLS expert but something sounds weird from your likert scales. As Likert is an agreement scale it normally uses only positive numbers (1-5 where 3 is the mid point). A scale ranging from -2 to 2 can provide negative values and you calculate the means. Probably PLS is giving nega...

Repeated indicator approach with 2nd order type II construct
Dear all, I`ve been reading through a lot of topics in this forum concerning the creation and evaluation of 2nd order type II constructs (--> 1st order constructs that are measured by reflective indicators; the 2nd order construct is formatively composed by the 1st order constructs). As far as I und...
