Dear Hengkov,
Thank you so much. I would be extremely thankful for if any specific reference. and second:

Is Predictive relevance (Q^2) is applicable to second-order construct (with reflective dimensions).
Regards.,

SmartPLS does not provide it so you have to calculate it manually.

R^2 and Q^2

Hi please,
Why my R^2 and Q^2 values exactly same? (I used second-order construct with reflective dimensions)
Is Predictive relevance (Q^2) is applicable to second-order construct (with reflective dimensions),
Please help urgently. BR

The final endogenous variable will be your final R^2. Use the following assessment of structure model (Hair et al., 2013. A primer on PLS-SEM - Book) 1. Check collinearity among the constructs 2. Bootstrapping to assess the significance of the path coefficient 3. R^2 4. Effect size (f^2) 5. Predicti...

Re: R square values

Hi, Go to Calculate=> Run PLS Algorithm then you can see your model (endogenous variables only). Also after running PLS Algorithm go to the Report=> Default Report => Overview here you can see R^2. You don’t need to calculate by hand. Assessment of structure model (Hair et al., 2013. A primer on PLS...

Check Hair et al., 2013. A primer on PLS-SEM – Book for using single item. If cannot find book then check the papers as follows: Hair et al 2012 An assessment of the use of partial least squares structural equation modeling in marketing research Hair et al 2012 The Use of Partial Least Squares Struc...

Re: How to interpret Total Effects?

Hi,
The others are the indirect effects which can be calculated as the product of the two effects . for example
Direct path of AB=0.2
Indirect path AC*CB => 0.8*0.5=0.4
Total effect=AB+( AC*CB)= 0.2+0.4=0.6

Re: Single Indicator Reflective/Formative LV

According to Hair et al., (2013). A primer on PLS-SEM - Book), in case of two stage approaches, they mentioned that LVs measured with only one indicator are set equal to this indicator, no matter which measurement model setup is chosen (single-item constructs; pp.264-265). So I think, in case of sin...

Re: GoF values for formative constructs

Hi,
Yes you are right.

Assessment of structure model (Hair et al., 2013. A primer on PLS-SEM - Book)
1. Check collinearity among the constructs
2. Bootstrapping to assess the significance of the path coefficient
3. R^2
4. Effect size (f^2)
5. Predictive relevance (q^2)
6. Do not use Gof

Re: Formative measurement model assessment

Hi, Right now I am reading the exactly the same chapter. I was thinking what if take the average means of all formative indicators and make it as global single-item? How can I decide my global single-item measure as I have almost in the last stage of analysis. I did not finish the book now so am not...
