How are these exactly calculated? They are close to an average of the items that go into the factor, but the final figure is not exactly the same.

For example, if I have a data file with a variable identifying gender, I would like to filter out women, and run the model for men only. Is there a way to apply sample weights when estimating a PLS model?
These are weights that we use to make a sample more representative of the underlying population.
Any suggestions?
