Re: Cluster-robust standard errors

It would be fantastic if such an option were available! It would incease the useability of smartPLS alot for many researchers. Especiallay for economics-based and sociological research, where this software is not that common. So, it is a promotion/marekting aspect for you to consider :-) Yes, it inv...

Cluster-robust standard errors

Dear PLS team, I cannot see the possibility of using cluster-robust bootstrap inference (or jacknifing) in SmartPLS. Is there any way of adjusting the SEs one self to accomodate this or is it a feature that you coudl implement in the program in upcoming updates? Many data sets include clustered data...

Re: Non-normal distr data vs residuals and PLS

Hi, Thank you very much for the answer! Then it is as I assumed. Many articles that have non-normal data choose PLS and thinks that everything is fine, but PLS is not the silver bullet in that respect. They might still have problems and it should probably be assessed by analyzing additional output f...

Non-normal distr data vs residuals and PLS

Dear SmartPLS-users and designers, I have a very basic, and probably stupid, question regarding when to use PLS rather than other regression and SEM methods. One central notion is that if data follows a non-normal distribution PLS is advisable (several review articles about PLS state that), but isn’...

PLS estimation and shared variance of IVs

Dear smartPLS community, I have the most basic question that I cannot figure out from reading work on the estimation of PLS-SEM models. My concerns is whether “shared variance” of constructs (IVs) are controlled for when for example estimating a simple additive model with direct effects of 4 IVs on ...

Hi, Perhaps a bit late. I have never done it myself, but I know that it is possible to simulate a data set if you know the correlations, means, SD. I am not absolutely sure of its applicability to your specific case though. A quick search on the www gave me this: http://www.uvm.edu/~dhowell/StatPage...

Partial derivate plots of interactions

Dear all, Does anybody know how to ‘plot’ interactions from the output of smartPLS? Using regression one usually calculates the partial derivate of the regression equation and plot simple slopes for three groups (+1stddev, mean and -1stddev) a la Aiken and West (1991). However, to that one needs to ...
