Hi, generally the possible sample size depends on the available memory on your computer. For the calculation of very large models it could be necessary to tell the Java Virtual Machine that it can use more memory that it would per default. You can do this by manually starting SmartPLS from the comma...

Hi, if an imported data set is marked with a red symbol, this indicates that (1) SmartPLS could not automatically detect the delimiter or that (2) the file contains non-numeric characters. Non-numeric characters are only allowed (and even needed to define the indicator names) in the header row of a ...

Hi! SmartPLS needs to store some runtime information within the user's home directory. On Windows computers this usually is C:\documents and settings\username . On your Windows installation the home directoy simply points to drive D:\. This obviously causes some trouble. Please try to change your sy...

How many iterations are performed before convergence depends (a) on your model and (b) on your underlying data set. In my personal experience the algorithm often takes less than 5, very rarely between 5 and 10 iterations. It's hard to express the complexity of the algorithm since it is not based on ...

If SmartPLS can not import a data file, this file is marked with a tiny red symbol whithin the project explorer. This usually happens if the file contains non numeric characters or a separation character that could not be automatically detected by the software. In this case you can use the validate ...

The data import wizard contains a next and a finish button. If you enter the name of your data file and then directly hit the finish button, you're indeed done.

The question for missing values appears on the second wizard page that shows up if you hit the next button.

In fact the "CSV Editor" in no real editor for your importet data files. This tool only gives you a preview (the first two rows of your data file) of what the data import looks like if you choose a certain separation sign. This tool is intended to assist you in the data import procedure to...

offline activation is not possible at the moment. We want to ensure that one key is not used over and over again – therefore the online activation. I am very sorry your problem cannot be solved at the moment.
