Factor Score

Hi all I understand by clicking the latent variables tab after running PLS algorithm, they are the factor scores of each construct for the data set. All my scales are 7-point Likert scales from 1 to 7. If the path is positive, by multiplying the factor loadings I would expect positive numbers. Howev...

Controlled variables in SmartPLS

I am running my model on Smartpls, with 1 DV, 9 IVs and 4 CVs. The 4 CVs are age, income, education and gender. Except the last, all are ordinal (answers are in ranges / categories with orders of low to high). For the controlled variables, I read many perspectives and ways of doing it but am still c...

Reflective Formative factor

Hi all I have a model like the one in the attached file. The construct IT is a reflective-formative model - it has its own factors but at the same time it is a factor to another variable. 1. Should I use PLS or consistent PLS in this case? 2. Do I need to treat it as a higher order construct (repeat...

How to interpret good path coefficients and total effect but low f square?

Hi all I have a construct which is shown to have low (0.015) f square to a DV. However the path coefficients from pointing that construct to the DV, directly and indirectly, are significant and the total effect of that construct to the DV is actually high. As f square essentially measures the impact...

Moderator only

Hi I am running a model with moderating effect. To make it simple, the model hypothesizes A influences B, A -> B. I have a moderator C. I have run a path C->B, which is not significant. I would like to see if C is a standalone moderator to the relationship A ->B. In the SmartPls setting, I must firs...
