Outer weight vs LV important index in IPMA
Hello everyone, I have some questions about the assessment of my HOC model (higher-order model). My HOC model is reflective-formative with 6 dimensions. - When I use repeated-indicator approach, the outer weights of dimensions I found in "Path coefficients results" is respectively : 0,30-0...

Serial mediation model
Hello, I have one question about serial mediation model. In my model, Y1 impacts Y2 via 2 mediators (M1 and M2) (cf. Photo). In every papers I read about serial mediation, they always analyze the effect of Y1 on M2 in the model. However, for my model, I don't have any theory base for the relation be...

Conflict in results PLS-MGA
Hi everyone, I conduct multigroups analysis with PLS-MGA for 2 groups A & B. The results show that : Group A : path coefficient = 0.158, p = 0.006 (Sig.) Group B : path coefficient = 0.063, p = 0.103 (non sig.) Difference of coeff. = 0.095, p = 0.913. Objectif is to see if there is significant d...

Re: MGA at second order construct
You just need to also include the group information for the second-stage model. The observations in the first-stage model are in the same order as in your data set. Hence, you can just include the grouping variable from your first-stage model in your second-stage model. Dear Mr. Becker, In this cas...

Re: MGA analysis for Serial Mediation model
Dear Mr. Becker, Actually my question is about how to interpret the PLS-MGA results showed in "Indirect effects" section ? In the case of direct effect (ex : from X to Y), we can see whether this path coefficient if significantly larger in the first group than in the 2nd group. In my model...

MGA analysis for Serial Mediation model
Hi, My serial mediation model is presented in the graph model below. It has 2 mediation effects : X -> M1 -> Y and X -> M1 -> M2 -> Y. I intend to run PLS-MGA to see if there is different between 2 groups of clients. The results of Indirect effects in PLS-MGA are about the indirect effect from X to ...

IPMA for model having Second-order construct
Hello everyone, I have a question about running IPMA for my model. My theoretical model is composed of 3 variables (cf. attached image) : one second-order construct (IV) with 3 first order (its dimensions) (reflective-reflective construct) and 2 other reflective constructs (DV1 and DV2). I intend to...

Importance-Performance map analysis (IPMA)
Hello, I have some questions about Importance-Performance map analysis. 1- For assessing map, we use the results of I-P map constructs standardized or unstandardized effects ? By reading the instruction in the book of Hair et al. (2018) Advanced issues in PLS Modeling, I think to use the map of unst...

Re: Should validate HOC or not ?
Dear Dr. Becker, I see that there are some significant effects coming directly from some dimensions of SQ to Satisfaction. As what you advise, I think it's not necessary to include higher-order construct SQ in my model. Thank you so much for your explanation. It's clear for me now. Best regards, Lily

Re: Should validate HOC or not ?
Dear Mr Becker, I attached here graphical representation of my model. In fact, these SQ1 to SQ8 are dimensions of SQ model. By theoretical, SQ has 6 dimensions. After my qualitative research, I would like to add SQ2 and SQ3 as 2 other dimensions of SQ. Could you explain me if I have to assess mearsu...

Should validate HOC or not ?
Hello everyone, I aim to test effect of each dimension of Service Quality (SQ) to Satisfaction. In the literature, SQ has 7 dimensions (SQ is reflective-reflective higher-order constructs, 7 dimensions are its LOCs). Through my qualitative research, I add 2 more as new dimensions of SQ. I conducted ...
