Multiple mediation
Hello everyone. I am confused with the term multiple mediation. Which of the examples below is called multiple mediation? Or both are considered multiple mediation? Thank you. Example 1: OPENNESS TO CHANGE (IV) > TEAMWORK (M1) > ENTREPRENEURIAL CULTURE (M2) > INNOVATION (DV) Example 2: OPENNESS TO E...

VAF
Hello everyone, I have three mediators in my model; Two of it are partial mediation and 1 full mediation. The full mediation shows a VAF value of 1.075 which is above 100%. I know that VAF is not required for full mediation but I'd like to know if I am calculating it correctly? A= Independent variab...

Re: IPMA (negative performance)
The identified empirical min and max are is fine as long as your data includes the full range of values (i.e., at least one 1 and one 7 for every variable). However, if your data does not include the full range (i.e., a variable has only values from 3 to 6 even though the scale was from 1-7) then y...

IPMA (negative performance)
Hello everyone, The results of my IPMA showed normal figures for both importance and performance between 0-100, and I was satisfied with the outcome. Then, I realized the scales for min and max were not 1 - 7. It showed decimal numbers; negative min (-1.238) and positive max (1.185). So I changed th...

Re: Is it possible to get low R2 and high f2?
Hi Dr Becker,
I agree that the effect size f2 can be more than 1. Just that it is tricky to find journal articles that showed f2 > 1 for me to cite.
Thank you very much for the clarification. Have a great day!

Is it possible to get low R2 and high f2?
Hello everyone, I am conducting a research in social science field. My model has higher order component Type 2 (reflective-formative). I have two questions. Hope to get some clarifications from this site. 1) Is it possible to get weak R2 values (0.05) but medium effect size (f2) (0.31)? 2) Is there ...

Effect Size of 1.000
Hello everyone, I need your help and opinion regarding Cohen's effect size (f2). One of my constructs (which is a 2nd higher order reflective-formative model) showed an effect size of 1.000. Should I be worried? I've checked and ran through the data again in Smart PLS and it is showing the same effe...
