Supressor Variable without indirect effect?
Hi everyone! So my results are as follows. I do not have an effect for effort expectancy on behavioral intention in one of my 2 groups (in the other group there is a smal positive one). As soon as I add satisfaction as a potential mediator, the former non-significant effect becomes significant (and ...

Interpretation Problems
Hi everyone, I have a small interpretation problem of my results. I used a 2x2 Design and experimentally created four groups. I wanted to investigate how a products capability to fulfill specific needs (2) influence product perception. So the needs where fulfilled in a way that i have a control grou...

Reflective or Formative
Hi everyone, I recently stumbled over the specification of my measurement model. I used the UTAUT2 (some of you probably now it) and asked myself, wether I have a refelctive model (e.g. social influence with its indicators) as well as a formative one (e.g. behavioral intention). I´m unsure because b...

Significance of f²
Hi everyone!
Is it necessary to report, wether an effect size f² is significant (from bootstrapping results)?
Best Regards
Philip

Reporting quality criterias for each group?
Hey everyone, a recent post lead me to a question for my master thesis. Basically I have four different groups from an experiment. If I report my model, do I have to report the quality criterions, composite reliability, HTMT and so on, for each group or for the complete dataset? Best Regards Philip

Re: Final Questions about MGA - Urgent.
Dear Dr. Becker, I did the coding for my groups and added them as predictors for my latent variable Hedonic Motivation. I added paths from all dummys to Hedonic Motivation simultaneosly. 3 of them were close to 0.1 one was at 0.2. All negative. Is this correct? How to interpretate the results? Or do...

Re: Final Questions about MGA - Urgent.
Thank you for the fast answer Dr. Becker! So I actually want to do both, test for significant differences in path coeffiecients as well as R² (this is also possible right?) and test whether I can achieve higher values in a latent construct due to manipulation. To clear thinks up - this is a simplifi...

Final Questions about MGA - Urgent.
Hi everyone, I´m currently analyzing data for my master thesis. I did a field experiment with 4 groups. Group 1 - no manipulation --> "Base" Group 179 Cases Group 2 - 2 variables (A & B) manipulated --> "Both" Group 175 Cases Group 3 - Variable A manipulated, Variable B not m...

Re: Multigroup Analysis with 4 Groups (OTG)
Dear Prof. Ringle, thank you very much for your advices and your helpful replies (not only in my post but across all of the forum). If I do the pairwise comparison anyways, for all groups, is the OTG still necessary as a first step or can I leave it (of course be keeping in mind the restrictions of ...

Multigroup Analysis with 4 Groups (OTG)
Hello everyone, I´m recently analyzing data for my master thesis. What I did was a manipulation of 2 specific factors in order to show their influence on behavioral intention. Thus I have 4 groups: Group1: Factor 1 manipulated Group2: Factor 2 manipulated Group3: Factor 1 & factor 2 manipulated ...

Re: Mediation Analysis - VAF or Path Significance
Dear Mr. Ringle, I looked up the 2nd Edition of the book, which was very helpful. I still have one last question: I included a Mediator although the direct path was not significant (like Hayes 2009 states not a neccessary condition). Following the procedure above I would have the result of full medi...

Re: Mediation Analysis - VAF or Path Significance
Dear Prof. Ringle,
thank you very much - I will take a look in to the 2017 Version.
For now, in my case I can rely on the path significances, which means, I do have a full mediation?
Once again thanks for taking the time to answer all questions in this forum!
Best regards
Philip

Re: Mediation Analysis - VAF or Path Significance
Dear Prof. Ringle, Thanks for the reply! I refer to the procedure you mentioned. If I follow this procedure, I would not need to take VAF into account, right? This is still confusing me, because (as mentioned in my original post), testing significance of paths vs. VAF lead to different results. To c...

Mediation Analysis - VAF or Path Significance
Hello everyone, is just performed mediation analysis using SMARTPLS 3. My question is: Which indicator is relevant for partial / full mediation? In this post: http://forum.smartpls.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=15489&p=25496&hilit=mediator#p25496 JMBecker states, that if the direct effect turn...
