Re: A singular matrix occurred

Dear Dr. Becker,

thanks a lot for your answer.
Do you know a paper or internet source that can help me to interpret the results I got from using 2 dummies in a path model?
Thanks

Using orthogonal contrast variables in SmartPLS

Hi, I know the use of orthogonal contrasts in regression analyses for analysing the effects of differences between independent groups (http://www.jds-online.com/files/JDS-563.pdf). Right now, I'm thinking about using a contrast variable in a smart pls path model. I have data from an experiment with ...

Re: A singular matrix occurred

Hi, I have a similar problem. I have 3 independent groups and therefore 3 dummy variables. As long as I have 2 of them (it does not matter which one) in my model, everything works fine. But when I add the third one I got the "Singular Matrix Problem". In all groups I have around 55 samples...

Re: Dummy Variable as dependent latent variable in Pavlou pa

Hello together, very interesting discussion. I am working on a PLS model and have a similar question. I have a model based on survey data and I want to integrate an endogenous variable that contains the usage behaviour of a participant. Right now, my usage data contain values between 0 and 800 and f...
