Re: Event Study with Latent Variables
Dear Dr. Becker, thank you very much for your answer. I use option II (calculating latent construct scores / measurement model) in SmartPLS and calculating path coefficients / structural model in STATA) as I have a fixed effects regression. Are there any published papers that follow a similar approa...

Event Study with Latent Variables
Dear All, I am a doctoral student and focus my work on corporate M&A. I would highly appreciate any input on my question! I try to measure the effect of a Type II multi-dimensional second-order construct (reflective-formative type) as an independent variable on cumulative abnormal returns (CAR) ...

Event study results (DV) and latent variables in PLS (IV)
Dear All, I want to combine an independent variable from survey data with stock price reaction as the dependent variable of the study. Therefore, I try to combine the analysis of a latent variable with event study results. Is my understanding correct, that I should analyze these results by help of a...

Re: Mediation test of a formative latent variable
Dear Dr. Becker,
is there any paper to cite which clearly says that I should not use the outdated Sobel test but should employ the bootstrapped indirect effects?
Thank you very much for your support!
Kind regards,
Christian

Mediation test of a formative latent variable
Dear All, I analyze the impact of an IV on a formative latent variable with four reflective indicators. Following Cadogan and Lee (2013), I try to show the relationship between the IV and the formative latent variable at the indicator level of the formative construct and not at the formative latent ...
