Re: Fit Summary - What is d_G and d_ULS
Hi @1: The result of the model estimation; see further explanations here: https://www.smartpls.com/documentation/functionalities/model-fit @2: Don't know - I usually do not use fit (see the note of caution at the end of the previously quoted link). The CB-SEM researchers usually delete indicators u...

Re: Fit Summary - What is d_G and d_ULS
@raschel: Thanks! That's perfectly fine. d_G and d_ULS values themselves are not useful. You need to take a look at their bootstrapping results (use the option "complete" in bootstrapping). If the original value of d_G and d_ULS is smaller than the upper bound of the bootstrap confidence ...

Re: Type II Second-Order Factor Model Questions
Hello everyone, 1. Which stage should we use for assessing Q2 (predictive relevance) in two stage approach? 2. Why the results in each stage are different? 3. And since "The blindfolding procedure is usually applied to endogenous constructs that have a reflective measurement model specification...

Dealing with MIMIC models in SmartPLS
Hi everyone I have some constructs which have some formative and reflective indicators. Since we cannot evaluate MIMIC models directly in SmartPLS, I am looking for solutions. Any suggestion? I also found these solutions from Petter, Straub, and Rai (2007): "If a researcher is considering using...

Re: Confirmatory Tetrad Analysis to assess constructs
Hello,
In the table of CTA-PLS, we have confidence interval and adjusted confidence interval (CI low and up adj.). Which one should I use for analysis? Is it something about Bonferroni-corrected and bias-adjusted confidence interval?
Thanks.

Re: Add relations to lower-order constructs
I would not model this as a second-order constructs, but simply use both constructs (Presence & Participation) as separate concepts in your model. You can then draw paths to both variables and assess the impact of your IVs on the two success measures. Thank you very much. 1. This is a good solu...

Re: Confirmatory Tetrad Analysis to assess constructs
Hi everyone, I have a construct that can be formative or reflective (it has three formative and two reflective indicators). I collected data for all of these indicators.I want to identify the mode of this construct to be used in my measurement model. Can I use confirmatory tetrad analyses (CTA) for ...

Re: What to do before doing PLS?
Thank you very much. I also found this: "When empirical data are collected using questionnaires, typically data collection issues must be addressed after the data are collected. The primary issues that need to be examined include missing data, suspicious response patterns (straight lining or in...

What to do before doing PLS?
Hi everyone For testing my model, I always studied about the PLS and how to test my model in the software. But now I am wondering if there is any preliminary test (such as detecting outliers?) I should do before importing data into smatpls. If you know any step by step methodology, please share. Wit...

Add relations to lower-order constructs
Hi everyone, Please I need your help. I don't know how to test my model. The problem is about testing a construct with two dimensions. I have a formative second-order construct (success) and I want to add relationships among independent variables with these two dimensions (lower-order constructs). Y...
