Re: Multiple DVs: estimate jointly or independently?
To clarify: should I be getting different path coefficient estimates by using method 1 vs method 2, as per the attached image?

Multiple DVs: estimate jointly or independently?
If I have a model with multiple dependent variables (DVs), will there be a difference in either path coefficients or standard errors if I estimate the model with these DVs independently vs. jointly? For example, if I have 2 IV with 2 DVs, what are the ramifications of estimating the model twice (onc...

Discriminant validity with multiple DVs
If I have a model with multiple DVs, should I test the discriminant validity of my variables with all DVs included at the same time? The reason I ask is because each DV yields a separate model, and thus multiple DVs are not estimated 'simultaneously' - they can be in the software, but statistically ...

Moderating effect option not available to me
For some reason, I do not have the option to 'add moderating effect', even when i click on a dependent variable in a path model with just one IV and one DV. I would appreciate if someone would let me know why this is.
I am using the trial version of the latest version of SmartPLS.

Can SEM PLS be used with many dependent variables (DVs)?
I have noticed that many papers applying SEM PLS have many more independent variables (IVs) than dependent variables (DVs). Is there any particular reason for this? Would it be problematic to formulate a model in which I have 1 IV (a formative construct) with several DVs? Please share with me an exa...
