AIC in Smart PLS 4 and Model Selection Crieria
Dear Respected Scholars I understand for model selection, we can compare different models based on the AIC and BIC values. In Smart PLS 3, we could obtain the AIC and BIC values after PLS algo under Model Selection Criteria. But, in Smart PLS 4, only BIC values are available. In this regard, for mod...

Re: Interpret MICOM report_Report Writing
Dear Prof. Becker Thank you for your swift reply and clarying my doubts. Usually the p value and the CI agree. Therefore, there should be no difference between AND or OR. Only in situations where the confidence interval is not symmetric and the value is on the edge of the confidence interval, the tw...

Interpreting MICOM results Step 2 and Step 3
Dear Experts/ Prof. Becker Thanks Prof. Becker for the guide. May I ask the following questions: - in interpreting the MICOM report as per Step 2. We only read whether the original mean difference falls within the 95% CI generated through permutation, OR, we have to simultaneously fulfil TWO conditi...

PLS 3- Choosing options for Moderators
Dear Experts I would like to confirm on the choice of moderator's option in PLS version 3.2.4. If moderator is reflectively measured, choose Product Indicator If moderator is formatively measured, choose Two Stage approach. If sample size is less than 200, choose Orthogorization. Are the above corre...

Re: Requirement for PLS-SEM
Dear Jan
Thank you for your swift reply.
I did the sample size calculation by using Gpower and I only need 103 samples. If I followed Cohen (1997), no of max arrow pointing to a construct, the sample size I need is 70.
Thanks and Best regards

Requirement for PLS-SEM
Dear All I just done my Work Completion Seminar (WCS) for my PhD studies. I was being penalized for using PLS-SEM for my data analysis because I had collected 389 usable questionnaires and my data is normal. I used and justified PLS-SEM to run my data based on the following reasons as extracted from...

Re: Endogeneous Formative Constructs
Dear Raffaele, Have you found an answer for your question? I noticed that it was posted in Aug 2015, and now is Dec 2015. Based on my understanding of reading the Book and some workshops I attended, it is okay to have formative endogenous construct. Just that the model assessment will be different. ...

Re: q² effect strenght
Dear All
Just to check, even in PLS 3.0, q square is calculated manually right?
We need to take out one by one and calculate the effect size of Q square, am I right?
Thanks!

Re: Predictive Relevance for Formative Measures
Dear prof.
Thanks for your swift reply. Therefore, if I'm using formative measures, I will not be penalized for not running predictive relevance analysis?
Thanks.

Dear prof.
Thanks for reply. May I know formative measures need to perform predictive relevance analysis or not? If yes, what would your goodself recommend?
Thank you. Looking forward for your reply.

Predictive Relevance for Formative Measures
Dear All May I ask, what are the steps and procedures to perform predictive relevance if my endogenous latent variables are formative measures? I read that Q square through blindfolding is meant for reflective measurement model and endogenous single-item constructs. (pg. 178 in Hair, Hult, Ringle &a...
