Re: Dependent Formative construct

Thanks Becker. Just one more question. I have high-order model. The first and the last third order constructs are formative factors while second order constructs are reflective. Can I choose PLS consistent to estimate? If yes should I use two stage or repeated indicator approach? I am comparing the ...

Re: PLS and PLSc for reflective model

Thanks Professor. I don't have a statistical background, so im sorry if I am asking very basic questions. I am loving SmartPLS but first I am learning first basic concepts. I understand that we can use PLS-SEM for both composite and common factors models and CB-SEM for only common factor model. But ...

Composite Vs. common factor

I don’t have statistical background. I read that PLS-SEM is suitable for both composite and common factors models. However, CB-SEM is suitable for only factor models. But actually I don’t know the difference between the two. Could you please differentiate between composite and factor models? How wou...

Dependent Formative construct

Hello, I am still new to SmartPLS. Can a dependent variable be modeled as formative? For example, in my research model, my final dependent construct is "firm performance". It is a formative construct based on the definition. But is it statistically OK to model the final dependent variable ...

PLS and PLSc for reflective model

I read that we should choose PLSc when the model is all reflective constructs. In my model, all factors are modeled as reflective. I run the PLS and the bootstrap for my model and all the values are good (loadings and p values significant); but when I run PLSc and PLSc bootstrap for the same model, ...

how to open *splsm files

How to open the *splsm file? Importing project requires *splsp files which is not there. I have a smrtPLS 2.0.
