direct and indirect mediation

Hey guys! I am doing a path model with 3 exogenous variables, 2 mediators, and 1 dependent variable. Is it possible to assess the strength of the mediator in 1 time, so by including both the direct and indirect effects in 1 model at the same time? Or do I need to do it in 2 steps, like the tutorial ...

Thank you so much, that really helped me a lot! :)

Don't mind me for asking so many question, but how do I calculate the effect size then? Or is it also given?

Thanks for the quick reply!

But then I get 3 R square values right, for the endogenous variables?

Is there also just one R square value that shows me the goodness of fit of the complete model?

R square values

I have a question: where can I find the R2 for the whole structural model? Do I have to calculate it by hand? I now have 3 R squares for my 3 endogenous variables..however, they will not tell me how good the overall fit of the model is, right? And I can't use the GoF values, since most of my constru...

GoF values for formative constructs

Is it true that I cannot calculate the GoF when I have a model that only has formative constructs? Because for the GoF I need the communality (AVE) and those values are not given for a model with formative constructs?

If I am right, what else can I do to assess the goodness of fit?

What exactly do these "Types" mean?

Does it influence the way I conduct the regression and the way I interpret the results?

Thanks!

second order construct

Hey!

In my model, I use the construct "Perceived risk", that consists of 5 dimensions (Performance risk, financial risk, social risk, time risk and security risk). All these 5 dimensions consist of 2 items.
Should I then use a second order formative construct?

Thanks so much in advance!

Thank you for your advice!

I have just one more question: Do I need to make changes to my data set once it has been imported from SPSS?

Kind regards

Import data from SPSS

Hey everyone!

I would like to import data from my SPSS data file..is this possible and if so, how should I do that?

Many thanks!
