Dear Hengky, in the meantime I found out that SmartPLS deletes the observations completely [alternative 1)] . So I guess there's still room for improvement :-D In their book "A Primer on Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM)" Hair et al. (2013) provide recommendation...

Missing value treatment w/ casewise replacement (=deletion)

Dear fellow researchers, dear SmartPLS developers the data set I am using contains quite a bit of missing values. I read that there a re two ways of dealing with it - mean replacement and casewise replacement - and that casewise replacement really is casewise deletion. In case of casewise deletion, ...

Dear Professor Ringle, dear fellow researchers, the data set I am using contains quite a bit of missing values. In fact, I think there are few observations that have no missing values at all. In case of casewise deletion, how exactly does it work? I see 2 ways to deal with missing values: Way 1) Obs...

Dear fellow researchers, I have read about the bias-corrected confidence interval and figured that it requires bootstrapping the SmartPLS-bootstrap-distribution (i.e. bootstrapping the bootstrap).* Has anyone of you successfully tried to do this? I would be interested how to do this using standard t...

BTW: I am no arts expert, but to the best of my knowledge "Cranach" refers to two painters in the 15th and 16th century or so :-) What you were refering to is "Cronbach's Alpha". I don't want to be Mr. Know-It-All, but just in case you are using it in your publication... Best Joh...

Thanks a lot Hengky! Wow, this book really is a bargain ;-) Nevertheless, it seems to cover many important topics. But it is more like a general PLS-SEM guide, rather than a manual/handbook for SmartPLS, isn't it? I was actually looking for something like this Stata manual, giving an overview of com...

Where to find a SmartPLS handbook?

Isn't there anybody who can tell me where to find a SmartPLS handbook? I keep searching for features of SmartPLS, which sometimes takes very long as I have to go through all the reports to find it. This is very frustrating :-(

Thank you everybody!

Dear all, I would like to follow up on this discussion, if I may. Situation: I have a formative construct that embraces 15 indicators. So I used Stata to calculate the VIFs by running 15 regressions (regressing each of the indicators of the construct on the other 14 indicators) and let Stata calcula...

Re: Misc

Dear all,

in this forum many users refer to the SmartPLS Handbook (e.g., viewtopic.php?t=2426&highlight=handbook). However, I couldn't find it. Where can I download or buy one?

Thanks in advance!
