Formative construct
Dear all, I have a formative construct (i.e., Efficacy) in my model. I propose that another reflective construct Movtivation has a direct relationship with Efficacy. Is this OK? I was told that, if you have a formative construct in your model, you should not have any direct structural path pointing ...

Hi Ralf, I am not sure if you still read this forum. Here is the formula how Chin(2010) uses F-test to examine the R² difference: F=(R₂²- R₁²/K₂-K₁) / (1-R₂²/N-K₂-1) with K₂-K₁ and N-K₂-1 degree of freedom Where R₁² is for the base model and R₂² is the superset model that includes the additional Lat...

compare models
Hi everyone, I have a base model and an alternative model. The R2 in the alternative model is greater than the R2 in the base model. It means the alternative model has greater explantory power. My question is, which test should i run to test the differences of these two models? one more question: sa...

low factor loadings and low AVE and low Cronbachs alpha
Hi everyone, I have a construct(reflective) which has three indicators. The loadings for three indicators are 0.036, 0.817 and 0.819. As you see, one is extremely low and,the AVE for this construct is 0.44, the composite reliability 0.62 and the cronbachs alpha is 0.41. All of them do not look good....

hi everyone, I got control variables such as GENDER, ETHNICITY in my research model. I want to test the effects of control variables on the Dependent variable. So i do a multi-group analysis, right? What i did for the multi-group analysis is: 1. split the data set into 2 sub-datasets, one is Female ...

manipulation check
Hi everyone, I got a manipulation check (with 3 measurement items) and it is mainly to determine that the groups i am comparing are indeed significantly different (i.e. high level vs low level). I have been searching for related articles but mostly are experimental studies. I have no idea which test...
