One Reflective and Five Formative Construct Model

Post by Ck007 » Sat Mar 10, 2018 11:16 am

Hi

My model includes 5 formative constructs and one reflective construct. The reflective construct is a mediator and all other (independent and dependents) are in formatively measured.

My question is "Does it required to measure Discriminant Validity for single reflective construct in the model"

Since there is no another reflective construct, my understanding is that Cross Loading and Fornell and Larcker measurement is not possible.

The HTMT result of my reflective construct give value of zero which is well below 1.

Please note that reflective construct pass all other requirements

Construct Validity
Outer Lording of two indicators of the reflective construct as : PPA 0.876 and PPB 0.898

Internal Consistency of single reflective construct
Cronbach's Alpha : 0.729
Composite Reliability: 0.881
AVE: 0.787

Pls advice me that whether I can proceed the model without discriminant validity of single reflective construct.

If you have any literature on this matter highly appreciated

Thanks. Usually, you only need to assess discriminant validity for two and more reflective constructs in a PLS path model.
