Re: Pure Moderator in Smart PLS

Just include the moderator variable in your model, select the target construct, right-click and select the "Add interaction term" option. Here, you find a chapter on moderation in PLS-SEM: https://www.smartpls.com/documentation/learn-pls-sem-and-smartpls/pls-sem-book Also take a look at this article...

Re: Sample size: minimum R2 method

In principle, you are on the right track. In the second edition of the book, the explications have been slightly modified. Here, one looks at an effect size level and the required sample size. The attached pictures provide further explications. Please note that these are technical considerations. Re...

Re: Usage of Rho_A reliability coefficient

A rho_A value above 1 is strange and should not occur. You may revert to Cronbach's alpha in that case.

Re: Problem with Importing Data (Missing Values) from SAV to CSV to SmartPLS

When the data export from SPSS includes such values "4,64E+09", SmartPLS 3 cannot correctly read the data file. "E" is a string and SmartPLS 3 only expects values. The rule for SmartPLS data: Only use text in the first row (i.e., the header which contains the variable names); sometimes, we also expe...

Re: One Reflective and Five Formative Construct Model

Thanks. Usually, you only need to assess discriminant validity for two and more reflective constructs in a PLS path model.

Re: T-statistic difference in Path Coefficient and Outer Loading

Exactly what you say: the t value of the outer loading (which usually are very high). But you should rather use the 95% bias-corrected and accelerated (BCa) bootstrap confidence intervals for significance resting (and report those results).

Re: Hair Jr. et al (2017) A primer on...edition 2e

They are not significant. But this does not mean you need to remove these items. If you read the book, you will find that you need to inspect the outer loadings next. Since they are above 0.5 you want to keep these items. In general, you may want to keep theoretically established items even though t...

Re: MICOM

Thanks! (1) You need to compare the original correlation value with the lower bound of the confidence interval. (2) The the original result is 0.996 and would be lower than 0.997 you would reject the null hypothesis of equal correlations on the 5% level. How about running more permutations (e.g. 500...

Re: Can i modify the results of my moderating effect

We strongly suggest not to "torture" methods until it confesses what you expect. In case of your situation, the coefficients are so small that no variations would lead to a different solution. The problem may be with your data. Please check them again (or collect more data). But if the data is good,...

Re: negative sample mean value

Obviously, your data has negative values. But this negative data is positively correlated with something else.
